Shave with cold water splash
Cremo Coconut Mango cream as pre-shave
Used UrbanMooch blue resin razor (mild to balanced close comb) with Gillette Wilkinson sword Chinese blade - outstanding combination (for me).
Note - blade on its 1st use today.
UrbanMooch blue resin is the new addition by UrbanMooch in their line of safety razors. Apart from the Bamboo open comb and the Aggressive TTO, the resin series comes in three colours - blue, gold and green.
This is a light 58 gm razor with a moderately weighted resin wooden finish handle at 35 gm. The resin stone base weighs 50 gms. Love the look and frankly, there aren't many at this price range offering a multi colour base as well. We need more like these.
The head profile is thin and offers an interesting level of efficiency. So, if you prefer to start riding the cap (maybe to assess the aggression - I generally do so), you will possibly classify it as a mild one.
But I believe the sweet spot is discovered when you ride the bar (with this razor). There is a small shallow angle where you can feel the blade. Now, that spot in my opinion offers it a balanced level of efficiency.
One will have to get used to it but that also makes this as a very safe razor. So safe that the pace of my shave went significantly up, by the end of the second pass.
So, wait for the second pass to judge the razor. Frankly, the shave offered was quite enjoyable.
Other than that, there is a slight blade overhang, alignment was spot on and the blade exposure or gap is not scary at all in my opinion.

I wish the razor has come in a better box with blades. Just a small UrbanMooch pouch inside a regular cardboard box. Some blades are always welcome.
Mitchell Wool fat Tallow soapy (so so nice) applied using Omega 48 shaving brush (Natural - boar) - face lather
First pass - with the grain
Second pass - across on the cheeks and jaw and with on the neck
Use the left over lather in the brush as a face wash (there wasn't much though)
Alum (zilch except one acne spot)
Post shave included application of Max G after shave lotion (with sweet menthol)
